Levy Lively Jubilee Bank Holiday Party at Inspire

Levy Lively Jubilee Bank Holiday Party at Inspire

June 2022 has proved to be such a rewarding month this year. Not only were we blessed by having a once-in-a-lifetime back-to-back bank holiday leading to a long, long weekend, but were also able to witness her majesty’s platinum jubilee, celebrating one of the longest reigns in the UK’s recorded history. For us Levy locals, our buntings were on full display on the day at Inspire community center, and we were able to have our service users enjoy themselves with stories of when they were little and how some remembered the original coronation street party and others the silver, gold and diamond Jubilees.

Everyone had a Jubilee story, and the lovely Kate Williams who led it through the Inspired Taskforce dressed to the occasion, while others in different kinds of costume pieces, and make-do royal regalia, or colour schemes.  In the end, it was a fun-filled occasion that lived to its hype as far as our locals were concerned.  Yikes, what good weather we mainly seem to have, between the royal weddings, and the coronation celebrations, some favour the queen must-have, and someone must really like her.

Staying Safe Online

A shout out to our lovely volunteer Wendie this month, who gave a brilliant and informative talk on internet safety, organised by our friends at the Inspired People’s Project.
