Digital Inclusion

This month we partnered with Debdale Bowling and helped distribute laptops to older people. This is part of our Digital Inclusion project – to help older people stay connected and able to access information online. We also have a computer buddies class every Tuesday which is open to anyone aged 55+, which offers a supportive environment for people to learn and get to grips with IT.

AGM 2021

At this AGM we looked back on our achievements over the last year… Continue Reading

Staying Safe Online

Staying Safe Online

A shout out to our lovely volunteer Wendie this month, who gave a brilliant and informative talk on internet safety, organised by our friends at the Inspired People’s Project. Our volunteers gave 11,500 hours of… Continue Reading

LGN visits the People’s History Museum

This month we enjoyed our final two performances with the PHM: ‘Shine A Light’ about life in factory for women during the Victorian era, and ‘Peterloo,’ a play about the 1819 tragedy which we watched at the Museum itself. Both were brilliantly performed and offered us an interesting insight into each era and social history… Continue Reading
