Our monthly LGN over 55s Bookclub at Arcadia Library continues to go from strength to strength. The book reviewed at the last meetup was ‘Little Fires Everywhere,’ by Celeste Ng. The overall score for, ‘how well-written our members found the book,’ was: 6/10. The average score for ‘how interesting our members found the subject matter,’ was: 5.4/10.

These scores differ sharply somewhat from the 8/10 on goodreads.com, thus it’s nice to know that our members do not go with the herd when it comes to their literary taste. Or could it be a generational thing?
Our next meeting will be on the Wednesday 5th of July, and the book up for discussion is ‘The Dying Day’ by Vaseem Khan and we have spaces for up to 3 new people. Please contact us in advance if interested or for further details – see flyer for info. Teas and coffee are provided. See you there!
